[iSlate Mystery] FingerWorks Disappears, Glass Screens Appear!

Are you anxious to see a new product announced by Apple? Do you want it to be the Tablet? Well, Many rumors were brought forward, predicting the announcement of a new product said to be an Apple Tablet. The disappearance of FingerWorks.com just made things a bit clearer, not to mention a 10-inch glass screen which MacObserver claims to be the screen of the Tablet device.

It is rumored that Apple has been ordering an enormous amount of 10.1 Inch screen, as TG Daily claims that an anonymous designer said that it was not possible to order a 10.1 LCD or OLED screen from any Asian manufacturer, due to reason that Apple has pre ordered them all. Furthermore, MacObserver has posted an image of a glass screen, claiming that it might be the screen of the to be announced Apple Tablet.

Moving on,  FingerWorks is a company that  produced a line of multi-touch products such as the iGesture Pad and the TouchStream keyboard for macs; however, these products were immediately discontinued when the company’s assets were acquired by Apple  in 2005.

The disappearance or rather the shut down of the website FingerWorks.com, leads us to think of one thing, that is the rumored Apple Tablet. How come? It is believed that Apple will implement multitouch gestures on its rumored Tablet device, and by taking down FingerWorks.com just before a confirmed event, raises the suspicion of a new announcement that might take place. Nonetheless, Wayne Westerman, a name found on many multi-touch patent applications from Apple, including advanced gesturing implementations for Mac OS X turns out to be one of the founders of Fingerworks.
