iPad to release on 26th March, staff on 10th, ad on 15th?

Multiple iPad rumors are out today, and we are stitching the speculations together. As rumored, the iPad would go hands-on with the retail staff on 10th March as said by a California Apple store manager. I have heard from at least one game publishing co. that they expect to get it hands on during the upcoming  GDC.

As announced by Steve Jobs back in January, we should expect the iPad WiFi version sometime later this month, and that date is said to be 26th March. Apple is expected to start the advertisement campaigns for the iPad from 15th March, and if history repeats itself, we should see long q’s outside Apple stores hours before the launch time. To fuel this anticipation further, we hear that Apple is all set to surprise the eager fans who camp out overnight before the launch with a special gift.

Further comments from AT&T CEO are also making the rounds that suggest that they aren’t expecting too much from the iPad 3G version, as WiFi would mainly be used.

“My expectation is that there’s not going to be a lot of people out there looking for another subscription,”  “Wi-Fi driven product.”
