Apple selects new Taiwanese Suppliers for iPhone 4G

There are a few changes for the new Apple iPhone 4G, as now Apple has added a few new Taiwan-based component makers who will now receive their first orders for the Apple’s iPhone 4G.

Foxconn will still make the finalized assembled product, but Apple is using the three new companies to get their touch layer done. 15 percent of the panels would be made by Chimei Innoluc, while the rest would be split between TPK and Wintek.

Since April, Foxconn has already received components and Apple would by now be ready to market the iPhone 4th gen fully upon launch. Developers are already playing with the OS v4.0.

We know that Apple always starts manufacturing just a couple of months before the actual launch so maybe the Apple’s iPhone 4G would be available sometime by late July 2010 or maybe immediately after WWDC 2010 in June.
