iPhone 4 pre-orders now ship on July 14, 600000 sold

AT&T and Apple had a tough time handling the demand for iPhone 4, when they opened the pre-order gates a couple of days back. Soon after they delivery dates were jumped from 24th to July 2nd, but now surprisingly the Apple store and ATT are showing the delivery dates as July 14th in US. Apple announced that the iPhone 4 shall be their fastest roll out ever with 88 countries to be touched by September. But it seems that the demand has far surpassed the expectations. According to Apple’s disclosure, Apple / AT&T have already received as many as 600,000 pre-orders for the iPhone4 (the highest number of pre-orders Apple has ever received for a product). This would easily take the total number of iPhones sold in the opening week over a million.

We can only guess the long Q outside the Apple stores across US on June 24th and weeks after that!
