It was more than a year back when we reported about Rock app coming up as another 3rd party app installer for the iOS platform (iPhone). While we didn’t hear much from rock or even Icy for that matter, it seems that Cydia would remain to be the undisputed leader in 3rd party appstore for jailbroken iOS devices. It has been announced that SaurikIT has bought Rock. This would mean that Cydia which is already huge, will get some more userbase and expert team from Rock your iPhone. Interesting iOS days lie ahead.
Rock has published some data which tells us that it has had as many as 2 million registered users and 4.6 million installations on unique iOS devices. Thats huge!
