Apple has made another move in the complex patent battles between smartphone makers. Apple and Nokia have had a history of lawsuits and counter lawsuits over patents now, this also includes complaints to the ITC (International Trade Commission).
Apple has now gone ahead and sued Nokia in UK. The complaint is pertaining to the implementation of 9 technologies by Nokia in its products. Interestingly these 9 patents in question are already a part of Apple vs Nokia dispute in United States. It seems that Apple is increasing its pressure with the UK twist. So what are they heading towards, Another round of counter suing or a settlement?
According to Nokia spokesman Mark Durrant, “We are investigating the claims, which appear to be based on nine implementation patents already in suit between the two companies in the United States.”
