Samsung ditches AMOLED for Wave II, Apple eats up stock?

Now this is interesting. We know for sure that there is a shortage of AMOLED displays in the market and that has given trouble to HTC before. Samsung manufacturers AMOLED displays and if they are themselves putting in Super Clear LCD in Wave II (S8530), something is surely fishy.

The WAVE II has a 3.7″ display instead of the 3.3″ in the original Wave and more or less the same specs. However the rumors that we discarded a few days back, said that Apple has eaten up all AMOLED stock for 2011 and is this forcing Samsung to go with super-clear LCD? There can be many possibilities here, Apple might have nothing to do with AMOLED and Samsung might just have taken a business decision to go with super clear LCD for Wave II. However there has been rumors that Samsung is pulling out the Wave and Galaxy S from market and replacing them with super clear LCDs december onwards.

So will we see the Apple iPhone 5th gen with AMOLED Retina displays?
