For long iPhone has been the benchmark for any smartphone coming out in the market. Many have directly or indirectly comparedĀ themselvesĀ to the jesus phone and some have just copied the structure of the iPhone 4. Full touchscreen, multitouch and aswesome mobile web are a few things that the iPhone pioneered. And it seems that the retina display by Apple isn’t going to be left out. Catching up with the iPhone 4, Sharp has its IS03 powered by Android 2.1. The ISO3 features a 640×960 resoultion display (3.5″) and apart from that is has a 9.6MP camera aswell.
This would be for the japanese market and also features a inbuilt TV tuner. Guess this would be the beginning of the whole lot of Retina display powered smartphones that are trying to catch up with the iPhone 4.
PS: Does Android 2.1 support 640×960 resolution?
