It was just days ago that Apple announced its countdown towards the iOS App Store hitting the 10 billion downloads mark. Well, just a few days since that, they have just managed to cross the magical number. The company is yet to announce the name of the person who downloaded the 10 billionth app though. The lucky chap, if you are not aware would win an iTunes gift card worth $10,000.
The landing page of the promotion has now been changed to something that reads like this:
“Thank you. Ten billion times. The 10 Billion App Countdown promotion has ended. Please come back to this page later to see who won.”
It took just Two years and six months for the App Store to hit the 10 billion mark. We wonder what’s the next target Apple has set for the App Store!
