While leading publications and pundits had their own predictions, source and analysis on what the next iPad display would offer, it seems that Apple has simply gone ahead with the 1024×768 IPS panel that it had on the iPad 1 (of course with the slimming). Apple didn’t utter a word about the iPad 2 display at the launch and it certainly feels that the resolution is good enough to last another year (we don’t disagree).
