iFixit has posted a video where they had performed a test to check the strength of iPad 1 and iPad 2 glass. There is no doubt that iPad 2 has proved to be much tougher to destroy than iPad 1.
They had some pieces of glasses lying around them and wanted to see whether the original iPad glass held better than the second generation or not. iPad 2 is lighter, thinner and of course stronger too. Perhaps a thought of ipad 2 repair will pass in your mind when you pick up the latest device.
