How thats what I call a heart of gold. After all the stories of how Apple stores helped people affected by Japan quake during the disaster day and the support Apple HR gave to its employees, its the customers who would feel the warmth of Apple’s love. If you have a Mac, iPhone, iTouch, Apple Displays and even iPads that was damaged due to the recent earthquake in Japan, there is an exception running until June 20th that lets you get a warranty. Never else can you expect to get a warranty for water damage or broken
In a statement Apple Japan offered the warranty covering a big chunk of product lines for people directly affected by the disaster earlier this year. The areas covered are as per the Disaster Relief Act of 2011 (Japan).
There is no doubt on Apple’s commitment to good customer service. We know living in India when it comes to claiming warranty on any Apple product, their service partners have helped us for all products that were bought internationally. For us, thats a big deal. Be it a HP or Acer, no one honors warrnaty of an international purchase in India. Apple does that since years. But this event in Japan surely is going beyond the call of duty. Salute !
