When Apple has released iMessage for iOS devices like iPhone, iPod touch or iPad, Mac OS X users are clueless whether this feature will arrive anytime in future for them. Similar to FaceTime where the functionality first arrive for the iDevices and then the support was extended for the Mac OS X, there is a possibility that Apple will also do the same for iMessage.
Some believes that iMessage is a BBM (Blackberry Messeger) killer which allows users to communicate between all of the iDevices irrespective of the carrier support. Until iMessage arrives for the Macbook, you may want to check out the concept made by Cart who is known for his work. The concept shows how people will be able to enjoy the iMessage service if it comes to the Mac OS X. It is assumed that Apple would follow the same principle.
