Well every time there is new iPhone to be launched rumors about it start to pour in from just about every where you can imagine. Either they happen to be from some factory unit, leaked cases or Apple’s annual ritual a lost prototype. Well this one from Case-Mate is no different than the earlier years. With the spot on hit by Gizmodo last year, we just can’t dismiss these leaks as fake either.

Case-Mate apparently had put the image of their new iPhone 5 / 4S cases up on their websites which were described as “iPhone 5 Barely There Brushed Aluminum Case”. Though at the same time they took care to mention that those were photoshopped images, which are based on their descriptions from the so called inside sources. As expected the page is no longer available and has already been redirected.
From the images we can see that the back of the iPhone 5 may have an aluminium back cover and its also much thinner than the iPhone 4. The phone also seems to have tapered edges, much like the iPod touch or the iPad 2. Though this can still be a publicity stunt we are amazed by the similarity the cases have with another leaked by macrumors earlier.
Well this close similarity of the cases somehow suggests that this one might just turn out to be true. With a launch likely to happen in a few weeks, we will soon find out!
