No, The iPhone 5 Is Not Getting Delayed

Apple iPhone 5th generation

The levels of enthusiasm in media about the upcoming iPhones is crossing every limit known to mankind. Apple is used to it, but I am sadly not. Rumors are fine. Analyst predictions once in a while along with case makers doing a publicity stunt as well. But rumors of rumored stuff is plain stupid. The iPhone 5 rumors has been a long story.Every since Apple made the agenda for WWDC 2011 clear with just software bits, we sort of knew that a hardware launch at the event is unlikely. Quite rightly the rumors of a August, September, October launch poured in, in numbers.

We are in September, half way through the month and Apple hasn’t spoken. Pause there.

The next round of rumors talked about the screen size for iPhone 5th gen, iPod touch 5G white color and 3G, the production rate and manufacturers of next iPhone and ended at the cheaper iPhone 4S recently. Apparently Apple made some comment about a category defining mid-range iPhone that I won’t even bother looking up. Pause here.

Then we have another wave of recent rumors, ranging from who would make the 8MP lens for the next iPhone to the processors being baked for the iPhone 6 and iPad 3. That is crossing the limit. Apple hasn’t opened its mouth about the road-map for 2nd half of 2011 and we are rumoring what processors their 2012 products would sport? Fine. Accepted. Noted.

Now when this little rumor about the rumored 5th gen iPhone being delayed due to production issues and the possibility of only the cheaper 4S coming out (remember even that is rumored) sometime soon is absurd. What are we, a rumor digesting machine? Wake up junta, Apple has spoken nothing and lets be clear ‘NOTHING’ about the next generation iPhone and its release date. Forget 2 iPhones, Forget productions delays, Forget a launch date. You have the iPhone 4 on sale, either buy it, or sit on the fence (even though that might hurt!)
