We are waiting since reports about the launch of official Facebook application for iPad had started emerging. We would not have believed if we didn’t try it ourselves. But this is confirmed that either today or tomorrow, Facebook team will come up with yet another optimized interface of Facebook application for tablets, currently iPad. And the fact is known that Facebook is constantly delaying the launch due to various reasons. Some of them could be due to upcoming implementations such as Timeline and Open Graphs.
We had heard long time back that Facebook is working on a project called ‘Spartan‘. This Spartan project is a step forward towards HTML5 based integration. Also, the team leader at Facebook responsible for developing Facebook application for iPad has resigned from the company because of frustration and joined Google. Well, Facebook could launch the application at Spartan event on Monday. Another possibility is at Apple’s iPhone event on October 4.
It is rumored that some talks are going on in between Apple and Facebook to decide the launch date. While Apple could showcase HTML5 implementation in iOS 5, Facebook team might demo and launch Facebook for iPad in the event itself. We will not be surprised if this happens. However, Spartan event on Monday is not a bad occasion for this thing to happen.
