Unlock iPhone 4S Without Any Software Or Hardware, Works For A Very Less Time [Video]

Remember those days when you to either use Ultrasn0w or Gevey Sim to unlock your iPhone? Well, Michael Capozzi has discovered a bug in iOS 5 which lets you unlock your iPhone 4S without the need of any software or hardware. Though, Michael had only T-Mobile sim card, transformed into a micro-sim and claimed to be working. However, we have confirmation from Gizmodo that this method had worked for them. But MuscleNerd informed that this would work for very less time which makes in unusable.

How does it work?

1) You need an AT&T micro-sim
2) A T-Mobile micro-sim with data activated on it.
3) You need to dial 611 from the iPhone and instantly drop the call.
4) Remove the AT&T sim card and insert T-mobile.
5) You need to make sure that iPhone doesn’t connect to Wifi. Even if it does automatically, use the forget network option under settings.

6) Turn On the airplane mode option from settings itself and wait for the phone to search for signals. An Apple flash screen will appear.

7) It will ask you that your iPhone requires an activation.
8) Please note that data will be activated automatically. Notice the ‘E’ sign on the top left corner of your iPhone 4S.
9) Now, wait for about 20-30 seconds and power off the device.
10) When you will Turn On the iPhone, the activation screen will be displayed again.
11) As soon as you see one signal bar, tap on Use cellular connection.
12) Take the sim card out.
13) The activation screen will be displayed once again.
14) Insert the sim card
15) BOOM! Your iPhone 4S is now unlocked.

This method definitely unlocks your device. But that effect will not lasts for longer. When you will reboot your iPhone or once the network is refreshed, things will settle once again. And you would be left out with a locked device. You may call it a temporary method. Due to its very less usage and dependency on the carrier, it is not the kind of unlock which many users are looking for. These refreshed from carrier are random and termed as ‘TMSI’. They occur very often in majority of the cases.

What do you think about it?
