iOS 5.1 Beta Seeded To Developers, Hints Towards Next Gen iPad, iPhone & Apple TV

After a break in iOS 5.0.x series, Apple has seeded iOS 5.1 to developers which has many added features and improvements. Since when it has been made available to developers, people are trying to dig into the ipsw system files to know about any upcoming product. Fortunately, they have been able to find certain evidences which hints towards the next generation iPod touch, iPhone and iPad.

According to a report of 9to5Mac, this ‘iPad 2,4’ reference is not an indication towards a new product. Instead, many references about iPad 3,1 and 3,2 had been found which were assumed to be the next generations iPad. This ‘iPad 2,4’ seems to be an already existed version with support for Sprint networks. And another iPad 3,3 reference hints towards the next generation tablet from Apple.

A reference to the next generation iPhone has also been found. Previously, the reference for iPhone 4S was 4,1 which didn’t turn out to be a leap in terms of the design. With iOS 5.1, a reference of ‘iPhone 5,1’ is found which suggests that Apple is already in probability to release a major revamp or an iPhone 6 next year.

Undoubtedly, Apple would also use A6 chip in iPhone 6 which is already rumored from sometime. It would be an entire change from both the sides, internally as well as externally. Also, the new Apple TV is codenamed as ‘J33’. Earlier, other products such as iPad and new CDMA iPhone were codenamed in the same way. However, the code started either with JXX or KXX. So, it is clear that a new Apple product is due sooner or later.
