Previously, there had many speculations that an untethered JailBreak for all of iDevices could be released in a JailBreakCon, formerly known as WWJC. But instead, things that could lead to a JailBreak for devices on iOS 6 were discussed and people were asked to find the vulnerabilities and help the hackers to extend the team. However, the tethered Jailbreak for A4 devices exists, but it seems that @planetbeing, a DevTeam member has found out a fully tethered JailBreak for iPhone 5.
As per his tweet several hours ago, @planetbeing has been able to make some progress on FailBreak which is also called as tethered JailBreak for iDevices. According to him, he has installed certain tweaks in iPhone 5 and made them work on it as well. Unfortunately, one requires a dev account for the Tethered JailBreak to happen on iPhone 5 using the current exploits. This tweet from a known hacker is definitely a ray of hope that one could expect a tethered JailBreak for A4+ devices soon.
Needless to say, MuscleNerd from DevTeam have already made it clear that an untethered JailBreak would only be available from futuristic versions of iOS 6. JailBreakers might need to remain on tethered JailBreak for now. Planetbeing is the person responsible to find out first ever software unlock for iPhone 4 and his work is really commendable in hacking community.
What do you think? Would there be a Tethered/Untethered JailBreak soon for iPhone 5? Let’s know in comment section.
