iPhone Jailbreaker “Comex” loses Job at Apple

Nicholas Allegra, who is better known by his online nickname “comex” was last year famously hired by Apple. The Jailbreaker was famous for his exploits that allowed iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users to jailbreak their iPhones by simply visiting a web page. In fact, Comex was amongst the first to offer such a service to iOS users.

Comex made the usually very cumbersome process of jailbreaking iOS devices very simple as it only involved the user to visit a web page. Apple quickly took note of his talent and quickly bought him over to their side – much to the disappointment of the jailbreaking community – many of whom termed him a traitor.

Anyway, news is that the famous hacker is no longer employed with Apple. The reason for the “split” is not clear although Comex himself has tweeted that failure to reply to an email is what cost him his job. Apparently, the hacker who was on contract with Apple was not quick enough to reply to an email that talked about the renewal of his contract. Apple soon withdrew the offer rendering the chap jobless.

It is unclear if Comex would be back to his jailbreaking ways now that he has been relieved off his duties by Apple.
