Yet another record breaking results from Apple announced. In the last quarter of 2010, Apple shipped over 16.2 million iPhones and 7.3 million iPads. Compared to last year, this is a 71% jump in revenues and 78% jump in profits. Crazy!
“We had a phenomenal holiday quarter with record Mac, iPhone and iPad sales,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “We are firing on all cylinders and we’ve got some exciting things in the pipeline for this year including iPhone 4 on Verizon which customers can’t wait to get their hands on.”
Apple sure has made their best attempts to overshadow the health leave of Steve Jobs with a super holiday season announcement. Apple has recorded $26.74 billion in revenue and record net quarterly profit of $6 billion, which only raises expectations from its performance for 2011, which is bound to see the effect of Verizon iPhone, iPad 2 and the next gen iPhone 5.
