Long before Apple implemented multitasking on iOS and iPhone had the feature rich iOS 5, Cydia delivered some of the best tweaks and features. It is hard to imagine Cydia again bringing in something that would add more utility your to the Lockscreen with iOS 5 notifications already using that space. But then we are proved wrong.
Available on the modmyi source on Cydia is Lockscreen Multitasking. This tweak works with Activator and let’s you use the multitasking bar from the launch screen so you need not slide to unlock and then double tap the home button to see background apps. Instead just double tap the home button on the Lockscreen and you can access the apps running in background. Simple.
One caution note of course, you cannot use this activator tweak of you use a passcode. Also iOS 5 adds a camera shortcut on the Lockscreen they works by double tapping the home button, if you use that excessively, you might find a slight delay as you need to first tap the screen to get out of the multitasking mode (after you double tap the home button) and the tap the camera shortcut.
