iPhone 3.0 OS is leakedand available via torrents. Many non developers aka eager iPhone fans have jumped to grab the OS 3.0. The iPhone OS 3.0 promises some great addons, and new features the final release of this firmware is still around 3 months away. We have warned previously on usage of this beta version leaked on the www, and here are a few more reasons to avoid them.
- The iPhone OS 3.0 beta is likely to expire every 2 weeks. This means you will be left with a non working OS on your phone with no way to downgrade. This would mean a wait till the latest beta version of OS 3.0 is leaked on the internet (which cannot be guaranteed). Why get into this process if you are not a developer?
- The beta wont support many of your apps
- There is no way to Jailbreak this beta OS as of now
- This will update your Baseband permanently; deactivating the Yellowsn0w unlock for your iPhone 3G and at the same time spoiling your chances for a future unlock
If you have already updated to the beta OS 3.0 (being a non developer), follow the instructions on BigBoss to downgrade and Jailbreak. But Yellowsn0w Software unlock for iPhone 3G wont work as the baseband is updated.
