iPhone 5 To Have Less Than 4 Inch Panel, Metal Chassis On The Back [Report]

Starting from way back in August through a leak from Apple’s Switzerland website, we have constantly heard rumors that next generation iPhone would have a larger display than iPhone 4. Ideally, some even believed to have 4 inches. But as per the latest report from Digitmes, panel suppliers of iPhone 5 revealed that all previous rumors were fake and the display would remain less than 4 inches. It means that iPhone 5 would have the same 3.5 inches front panel but due to thinner bezel, it would look bigger than current generation iPhone.

These sources also claimed that Apple is all set to change the backside design of iPhone 5. Instead of a hard glass, the company would use metal chassis. If that happens then the back design of iPhone 2G would be revived in iPhone 5 once again. However, it could have noticeable differences such as no heating issues, more scratch resistant, glossy finish etc. Beside external makeover in design, internal hardware would include a 8 megapixel camera, full HD video recording at 1080p, a dual core (A5) processor and new antenna. It is also believed that iPhone 5 would be an ultra-thin industrial design in the world.
