He started his work from Wii hax and expanded it to iPhone by releasing the first simplest Jailbreak called ‘Spirit‘. However, Apple patched it in the next iTunes version.
After Spirit, Comex released another userland Jailbreak which used a backdoor in mobile safari to push the JailBreaking data, popularly known as ‘JailBreakMe 2.0’. No one had ever wondered that this could be possible. In other words, Comex made a history. Again, when everyone lost hope of a JailBreak in iPad 2, Comex released another version of JailBreakMe 3.0 which worked in the same way. Within days, Apple came up with another firmware version, iOS 4.3.4 to close the loophole.
According to an answer given by Comex to one of the question, Comex earned an amount of $40,000 through donations which helped him to study at college.
