Is This Picture Taken From An iPhone 5?

Yes, you heard it right. This could be a picture taken from an iPhone 5 for testing purpose. History to be told, Apple employees always takes the unreleased devices outside their Apple Campus to test the products in different conditions. Due to which they have lost many prototypes. Actually, the real performance of any product can be calculated once it is taken in the environment where it is meant to be used. It seems that something similar has happened with long rumored 8 megapixel camera of iPhone 5. An Apple employee captured an image from the upcoming device and uploaded on Flickr from iPad after altering its EXIF data.

According to PocketNow, it is claimed that the picture was ideally taken from an iPhone 4. But the EXIF data of this photo speaks an all together different story. Apparently, the image appears to  be captured from a 5 megapixel camera with 2235×2291 pixels. But the actual pixels were much larger, that is, 3264×2448. You would be able to observe these dimensions in 12 megapixel cameras. Also, lens of this photo has been reportedly found to be  4.3mm f/2.4 which is tad different from 3.85mm f/2.8 of current generation iPhone. Unfortunately, the image was uploaded from an iPad to compress the EXIF data.

As the picture has been taken by an Apple employee while doing his lunch at work. So, the portability for it to be captured from an iPhone 5 is more. iPhone 5 is expected to have 8 megapixel camera, revamped design, new antenna, LTE technology and much more. What do you think about it?
