Apple has recently seeded iOS 5 Beta 5 to developers. Within month of iOS 5 Beta 4 release, Apple has pushed another beta of its upcoming major upgrade for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. As always, iOS 5 Beta 5 is only meant for developers. You can either update in the form of an OTA upgrade from your iDevice or directly download from iTunes 10.5. Don’t upgrade from your iDevice if you have previously JailBroken using Redsn0w 0.9.8b4 because it will mess up with your system files.
Instead, you are advised to manually download from iTunes and then restore. It is not confirmed as yet but you would be able to JailBreak iOS 5 Beta 5 again by pointing out iOS 5 Beta 4 in Redsn0w 0.9.8b4. The Jailbreak is possible due to the limera1n bootrom exploit which is somehow related to hardware but tethered. Tethered means that you always require software to restart your device if is switched off unexpectedly. We will let you know about the new features soon.
