Apple has a remarkably different approach when it comes to SMS. They believe that people discuss highly personal information over SMS, which would never be forwarded to anyone else. They also believe that a person will never have to delete a single SMS from their Phone, but an entire conversation with someone.
Although we don’t know where Apple conducted its super survey before allowing such serious shortcomings to their iPhone, there certainly needs to be an alternative for the ones bitten by the iPhone hype! So here comes SMSD to the rescue.
This is an alternative SMS application for the iPhone which adds certain many needed features. SMSD allows SMS Forwarding and Single SMS deletion. That’s not all; it also adds a Search option to your SMS database. Now that’s a feature we genuinely wanted with those 1000’s of messages dumped onto our cells.
Not to forget SMSD complete replaces the default SMS app of the iPhone with all the existing features + the add-ons we listed above.

iPhone 3G / 2.0 Update:
WeTool and SMSD are not available for Firmware version 2.0. So iPhone 3G users can rely on Cydia Application named CopierCIN to forward SMSes and Copy Paste text! Cheers
