A software unlock for the iPhone 3G might be out soon. So far fiercely protected and Locked iPhone 3G is now Apples Bestseller. Apparently the iPhone Dev team has managed to mod the iPhone 3G baseband to an extent. However unsure as to how close they are to an unlock, we feel a solution shall be out sooner than expected!
Apple is known to protect its mobile devices like none other. No USB mass storage, no Bluetooth file transfer, carrier locked with specific iPhone rate plans, this sure looks madness, but with the charm and the uniqueness of the iPhone 3G, it sells. Until the competition builds up and Appel relents, the unlockers like the dev team promising us tools like ultrasn0w or jailbreaking solutions are the only hope.
