Google vs Apple over the iPhone app for Google voice is known to all. Much to the disappointment of iPhone users no official iPhone app for Google Voice is available. Here is, where Cydia played a role with jailbroken iPhone’s getting some apps to play with Goolgle Voice. BGR has unveiled the upcoming upgrade to the app GV Mobile that lets you get the Google voice experience on the Apple iPhone. GVMobile 2.0 is much more stable and refined. This will also bring a lot of new features to the app:
- Faster connection for dialed calls
- access to iPhone contacts and favorites within the app
- view voicemail transcription
- support for multiple Google Voice accounts
Some more advanced features are said to be on the to-do list, but the app still hopes for Apple’s blessing in making it officially to the App Store, till then Cydia works for us 🙂
