iPhone in China has been long story. We have heard constant rumors of talks between China Mobile (the largest carrier in China) and Apple getting close to a deal and failing and China Unicom has been carrying the iPhone in China for a while now. While the rollout of iPhone 3GS was largely delayed across the globe due to supply concerns, it seems that Apple is rolling out the iPhone 4 much more aggressively. The latest rumors claim that the iPhone 4 would reach China via China Unicom as soon as next month.
The rumors also go on to say that the iPad would come officially to China next month and for now the only source to get the iPhone 4 or iPad there is the grey markets.
Hoping to see the India launch commitment being met aswell… September that is!
