Looks like its not a great day to start with if you’re an iPhone fanboy. After the news that the fix for the security issue with password protection on iOS 4.2 would be arriving only by November, here’s some more disturbing news. That white iPhone 4 you’re so patiently awaiting for – it has been delayed further. You heard it right my friend, so like you thought earlier, Apple won’t be gifting it to you by the festive season this year.
According to Reuters, the white iPhone 4 will make its landfall only by “Spring 2011”.
People have been patiently awaiting the arrival of the white iPhone 4 which was announced along with the black one – back in June 2010. However, Apple launched just the Black version and has since then continously delayed the launch of the white version. While Apple hasn’t revealed the reasons for this delay, it is thought that the delay is due to a color matching issue between the home button and the rest of the fascia. Apple though hasn’t publicly admitted this and attributes the delay to the fact that the White iPhone is “more challenging to manufacture than we originally expected”
In the latest statement Apple has apologised to people who are still awaiting their white iPhones “We’re sorry to disappoint customers waiting for the white iPhone again,” Apple spokeswoman Trudy Muller was overheard saying.
