Close on the heels of the news that the white iPhone 4 would only arrive early ext year, here’s some more white iPhone 4 related rumor. Folks over at Boy Genius Report seems to have received a tip off from a source who is claiming that the white iPhone 4 would eventually be cancelled. The source adds that Apple has almost taken the decision to scrap the iPhone 4 – but has stopped short of going public with it because of the obvious reasons. Many people were expecting the white iPhone 4 and a cancellation might have adverse effect on its shares. The source goes on to say that Apple would only reveal this sometime in March so that the effects of this would be considerably minimized.
The official update regarding this would only arrive by March 2011 so that the attention of most would be on the iPhone 5 which might see its debut sometime in June 2011. That said, there are others who have found a new reason behind the delay of the white iPhone4. Apparently, the translucent White glass cover of the phone affecting the camera performance. This issue has forced Apple to redesign the White iPhone 4 and eventually cause the delay. What we would be watching is if this delay will go on to become a cancellation.
Maybe Apple wants to stall the launch till late March and then release the iPhone 5 in white instead?
