Until now, if you were in the US and needed help on your Apple product without actually having to call up their support lines, the only way to do it was to approach the friendly neighborhood Apple Store and talk to the folks at the Genius Bar over there. The genius bar was setup by Apple as a resource for people who needed personalized support with their Apple devices. Anyway, that was until now.
According to folks over at TUAW, a little birdie from Apple has informed them that select Best Buy stores across the US too would get their own Genius Bar. This would mean that Apple Stores would lose their exclusivity. That said, we don’ think Apple customers would be too worried about the location of the Genius Bar as long as their problems are sorted.
The arrival of the Genius Bar on Best Buy stores is believed to a part of an overhaul that BestBuy’s Apple section is slated to get later this year.
