Will iOS 5.0 Feature 'PhotoStream Social Feature' in Photos App?

According to the 9 to 5 Mac report, Apple will reveal a ‘PhotoStream Social Feature’ in the next major software update – iOS 5.0. This feature was earlier spotted by the same source but didn’t gain much hype. Later today, this again appeared in a customer’s iPhone and the references were observed. The references are generally hidden from the user and come up due to the use of 3rd party application which redirected to the photos.app for editing purpose.

PhotoSteam may be able to use the feature similar as that of creating playlists in iPod. This works on the concept that all the Photos that needed to be shared with the selected people will be given a specific username/password or invitation. All these photos will be uploaded on a service with some privacy preferences. It seems that the service will be connected to MobileMe and Media Stream with ‘Find My Friends’

Basically, PhotoStream is the easiest way to share the photos. You don’t need to post them online on your favorite social networking sites such as – Facebook, Twitter, etc. An older version of iPhoto for Mac included the same feature called ‘Photocast’.

Let’s us wait for the WWDC (World Wide Developer Conference).
