AT&T has increased the prices for the people who want to upgrade their iPhone before the contact is over. This was earlier rumored through the screenshot which was obtained by AndroidCentral. However, Appleinsider confirmed the news with AT&T about the sudden increase of $50 for the upgrade.
Now, the prices are as follows :
1)iPhone 3GS is now $299
2)iPhone 4 16GB is now $449,
3)iPhone 4 32GB is now $549
If we compare the prices with the previous one, we will find that the jump is clearly of $50 in each of them. A spokesperson from AT&T said :
“As mobile devices become more sophisticated, their cost goes up. This change reflects the increased costs, while still allowing us to offer customers the latest device before they qualify. We’re happy to discuss individual account and upgrade needs one-on-one with customers.”
