The device can be connected via the 3.5mm headphone jack to your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad device using the iOS app. It helps you take credit card payments on the go. This banishes the need for complicated contracts, monthly fees, or merchant accounts. Square charges a flat fee of 2.75% for merchants who swipe cards and 3.5% + 15ยข for transactions when the card information is entered manually.
