Pastebud – Copy and Paste text from safari/web pages to mail app (Video)

Copy and paste of text has always been a big drawback in the iPhone. Though now there are softwares like CopiercIN which allow copy/paste of text within the iPhone from sms to mail to notes etc. There was always one thing missing that was copy text from safari. Well not anymore guys. Pastebud allows you to copy and paste text directly from safari i.e. from web pages to your email. Before you ask me whether its on Cydia or the AppStore lemme tell you people that it is not a software that has to be installed via cydia or appstore. Its all legal. Its more a kind of service offered for the iPhone users.

Pastebud, as the service is called, works using two bookmarks in Safari. One prepares and loads the page you are viewing, ready to select text at the touch of a finger. From there, you can copy any text you want and create a new  mail message with that text in it. you will also be able to copy and paste in the text field of a different web page.

While this is not a full copy and paste app , but i’m sure many users will welcome the ability with open arms as it fulfills almost 70% of our needs. According to Jed Schmidt, creator of Pastebud, they have tested it for about a week and they are now “putting the finishing touches on the web site before its launch”. This app has not been launched but it is certainly a boon for the iPhone and would be a hot release.
