FaceTime Coming Over 3G On iPhone 4 & iPad 2 in iOS 5.0 ?

Apple unveiled the FaceTime in iOS 4.0 with the release of iPhone 4. It allows you to video conference over Wifi from an iPhone 4, iPad 2, Macbook or iMac. One of the advantage of using FaceTime on any of the iDevice that has front facing camera is the fact that it is free. It doesn’t matter how many hours you video conference from one country to another, one state to another, you already know that Apple will not charge for it. What if you could use the feature over 3G?

Some evidences have been found on iOS 5.0 beta 1 for developers which indicates that iOS 5.0 will support FaceTime over 3G. However, many tweaks are available in cydia  that enable you do to so. But what if the feature comes inbuilt from Apple? It would be a must needed integration. While switching on the FaceTime from settings, 9to5mac has noticed that it display the message to active your data plan or turn off wifi. If we believe the message, then it would be fair enough to say that FaceTime will support 3G networks in future.

Nothing can be said as of now because it is a beta version. It may happen that Apple drops the support in the future. We will keep you updated once we get more information on it.
